Stalking is a term commonly used to refer to unwanted or obsessive attention by an individual or group toward another person. Stalking behaviors are related to harassment and intimidation and may include following the victim in person or monitoring them.

Cyberbullying & Cyberstalking Defined
The updated definition as awareness of the phenomenon increases is: "the intentional and repeated harm of others through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices."
Cyberbullying can be as simple as continuing to send e-mail to someone who has said they want no further contact with the sender, but it may also include threats, sexual remarks, pejorative labels (i.e., hate speech), ganging up on victims by making them the subject of ridicule in forums, and posting false statements or gossip as fact aimed at humiliation. Some cyberbullies may also send threatening and harassing emails and instant messages to the victims, while others post rumors or gossip and instigate others to dislike and gang up on the target. Cyberstalkers are also known to sign the victim up for newsletters they do not want or need. Unknown Caller ID or untracable cell phones are often used to repeatedly prank call the victim & they often use Caller ID changing devices to impersonate others.
The practice of cyberbullying is not limited to children and, while the behavior is identified by the same definition in adults, the distinction in age groups is referred to as cyberstalking or cyberharrasment when perpetrated by adults toward adults. A pattern of repeated such actions against a target by and between adults constitutes cyberstalking.
My Cyberstalker has done the following for YEARS:
Sent me an anonymous virtual voodoo doll while I was pregnant with my daughter.
Prank called using Caller ID changing devices to impersonate someone I know.
Prank called using Caller ID changing devices to impersonate strangers.
Created numerous email accounts to impersonate others. The email content is always cruel and intended to hurt me.
Created numerous MySpace accounts to send me emails from fake men in my area to see if I would take the bait.
Instigated others to dislike me and send me threatening hate email from a fake email account.
Sent unwanted emails from their real email account even after they were told to stop. The email content is always cruel and intended to hurt me or put me down.
Obssessively checks on my web site so they can gather information to use against me.
I continue to be signed up for newsletters I never initiated.
Posted fake blog comments on my site that are hurtful or designed to make it look like I am "up to something."
Continues to find creative ways to contact me indirectly even after they were told to stop. They included my email address in their update email to their friends and family members as recent as January 2009. A fake person "replied to all" because I have them blocked and did not get the original email. NOTE: IT WAS PUT IN MY FOLDER NAMED: HARASSMENT.
Sent numerous unwanted letters to my husband at his place of employment. The goal is to plant seeds of doubt in his mind. The letters are designed to put us down while building himself up to look so wonderful & good. They are full of hate & things to try to make him feel guilty. We see right through these tactics. If you read one, you have read them all. If we continue to read these letters we are giving the stalker what they want. We are taking away the stalkers power. THESE LETTERS ARE BEING KEPT ONLY FOR DOCUMENTATION PURPOSES WITHOUT BEING READ OR WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT! WE BOTH WANT NO CONTACT FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL!!!!
This is what I have done to put an end to it:
I have EXPOSED this person. I told my friends & family what this person has done & I have their SUPPORT. Some were ALSO harassed by this person. We are taking a stand against this type of behavior. We don't have to take it!!!
I have told this person to STOP contacting me.
I have this section of my web site to remind them of everything they are doing to me and that it is WRONG. It is MY RIGHT!
I do not read emails from this person nor do I respond. I WILL NOT PLAY THEIR GAMES OR LET THEM GET TO ME: BLOCK--IGNORE--REPEAT.
I do not answer phone calls from unknown caller or people I do not recognize.
I do not answer calls from people they have impersonated until I am certain of their identity.
I have contacted the police & a lawyer & I am following their instructions to prosecute this person IF NECESSARY.
DOCUMENT-DOCUMENT-DOCUMENT!!! I keep every email, photo, letter & gave copies to a friend & a lawyer.
I have reported this person to my phone company. These records will be subpoenaed as proof by the police for when they are needed to prosecute this individual.

I have blocked this person and all of their family members from my email, facebook, etc.
IF YOU ARE BEING STALKED WITH UNWANTED CONTACT FROM SOMEONE, THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!!!
Cyberstalking is against the law and in Illinois is a Class 4 felony. A second or subsequent conviction is a Class 3 felony. When people are obsessed, they do not think about getting in trouble so be carfeful!!

I suggest you let us live our lives just like your ex-girlfriend said you both wanted in her long threatening letter to me (or was it really you? That's your M.O.). As long as you continue to harass us with unwanted contact, I will continue to document EVERYTHING. I don't have to feel threatened, scared or angry. (And I don't. I just feel pity for you.) I refuse to be your victim. We wish you no harm and we wish you well... but at a distance. We only want one thing in return:
LEAVE US ALONE!!!!
